Fr! What the writers made of ivypool was disappointing yet it’s so overrated by the fandom. All her chapters were pointless other than getting a view point of the dark forest which was already done by jayfeather and possibly Dovewing. She was supposed to find out when the DF would attack but guess who did that? Dovewing. She could’ve killed hawk frost, but brambleclaw did that. I like this more ambitious and confident spin on her. She actually seems useful and less like a fearful, insecure mess (which isn’t bad because a flawed character is nice) but she just ended up being so useless in the end which just makes everything lamer.
I hardly remember anything of the fourth series because it was just THAT BORING. if only we had THIS ivypool...

I haven’t read her post-reveal books recently but as far as I know she doesn’t show any symptoms canonically (again though, I haven’t read her books in a while)

I think you can feel bad for him while not condoning his actions, but he did kill a bunch of people, torture their souls, beat the life out of Squilf and some other kid, attempt to burn three people alive, and abuse a child. He’s really not in love with Squilf at all, he wants to control her, he doesn’t have any concern for her well-being. That’s not love, it’s self-centered
